Our Grants

The All-Access Grant is open to families where the cost of participation is a barrier to play. Priority is given to families with the greatest financial need.

Award amounts vary based on demonstrated financial need, household size, and available program funding. If approved, you will be notified of the total amount available in your account.

Applications are reviewed using a structured, equity-based framework. We use the same formula and process for every application. Awards are based on income, household size, and your athlete's age, sport, and participation level. There is no first-come, first-served advantage to applying early within the grant cycle. We review all applications when the grant cycle has ended. Families with the greatest need are prioritized for support.

Since your award can be used for up to a year, we recommend applying as early as you can, whether that’s now if a window is currently open, or at the next one coming up. Applications are reviewed in four fixed windows throughout the year:

Your dashboard will show the status of your application (submitted, reviewed, approved, or denied) throughout the review window. If approved, we will send you information on how to submit requests through your account for these expenses to be covered.

Note: We do not reimburse families for fees already paid — applying before you register, rather than after, ensures funds are available when you need them.

No. Fastbreak Impact does not distribute funds directly to families. Approved expenses are paid directly to teams, leagues, and vendors on behalf of awarded athletes. The All-Access Grant covers future expenses. It does not reimburse costs you've already covered out of pocket.

Your secure dashboard will show your total awarded amount. When an eligible expense is approved and paid, the deduction will be reflected in your account, allowing you to track your remaining balance at any time.

You have one year from the date of approval to submit eligible expenses, or until your allotted amount is used — whichever comes first.

As part of receiving your award, we ask families to complete three brief surveys about their experience with Fastbreak Impact and how the support has impacted the athlete's journey — during the season, at the end of the season, and at a later time to check in on how things are going.  Your voice helps us learn, improve, and bring more athletes into the game.

If you qualify but funding runs out before we reach you, we'll automatically carry your application to the next cycle — no need to reapply. We'll just ask you to confirm your information is still accurate. This doesn't guarantee funding a second time. Your application will be reviewed under the same process as before. If your application isn’t funded the second time, you'll need to submit a new application.
